This theme was originally designed for Nuke-Evolution Xtreme the UK version. As it goes because of the design of the PHP-Nuke Titanium software and for all intents and purposes the original design of PHP-Nuke and Evolution-Xtreme there is a certain level of need that takes place in the design of a completely modular CMS. These CMS systems were created with a tabular interface and require the use of the original HTML tables, unlike other CMS software. It is a hoax that they are going to do away with tables. Adobe took part in this hoax as well when they made excuses to keep from having a programming team that they spent millions of dollars on for the Adobe Fireworks project. Tables are a necessity in many cases and they do not affect the SEO abilities of PHP-Nuke Titanium, we have written an Advanced Google Site Map that fixes any issues that could ever arise.

So you think that because you heard someone say you should not use tables in a design layout and that it is bad you're going to exercise learning a new way to design themes? Great, and I implore you to do just that, however, tables are not going anywhere and we have used them for more than 30 years and nothing is broken. Using HTML tables has helped us design layouts that are awesome and more graphically advanced and intense. I have been designing layouts and programming for as long as computers have existed, a short time after punch cards were phased out. We used tables in the beginning and we use tables now...

We have the ability to detect browsers and devices and serve content accordingly and we will do so with PHP-Nuke Titanium. Stop taking advice from people who do not have the experience required to be giving solid technical advice. When another programmer makes a blanket statement that designing websites with tables is bad he obviously has only been doing what I do for a few years, he lacks experience and I understand. Is It bad to use tables to design a website? If the CMS does not require a tabular interface to keep the modular system intact you should not use tables for the design interface. If the CMS is using the Francis Framework then it is okay to use tables and in fact, in most cases, it is required to keep from breaking modular advanced graphic layouts.

The original Xtreme Theme version 3.0 is a perfect example of why we need tables when working with a modular interface like PHP-Nuke Titanium. HTML has not come far enough to be designing graphics for a fully automated graphics system like PHP-Nuke Titanium. The size of your data and or graphics changes too dramatically for you to rely on a standard grid system. You can use all the new HTML5 bells and whistles with HTML Tables.

What Is a Grid Layout?

In web design, a grid layout is a way of structuring and organizing page content such as text, images, buttons, and other elements. A grid layout segments the web page into columns of equal width. Elements are placed and aligned within these column boundaries.

The grid layout is more of a concept than a defined method. To implement a grid layout, designers follow a particular grid system, a set of specific rules for how a grid should be formatted.

There are many grid systems in use today, one of the most popular being the 12-column variant of the 960 Grid System.

This system divides the width of the page into 12 columns, each 60 pixels wide, separated by 20-pixel spaces. Designers unflatteringly refer to the spaces between columns as “gutters".

Grid systems like 960 are very, very common on the web — they inform the design of the vast majority of websites. While it’s difficult to get an exact count, I’d wager that at least nine of your 10 most-frequented sites probably follow a grid layout to some extent.

We use grid layouts, we just do not use them for everything...

What Is a Dysfunctional Grid?

A dysfunctional grid is when you try to design some sort of advanced graphic layout and in turn, it breaks the modular layout upon loading.

This is what happened with Xtreme v3.0. All though it was only one glitch it destroyed the symmetric relationship the modular page load was supposed to have with the data output.

We could have fixed it, but it was with shared emotion, that many have said why would I change something that already works, and we totally agree!

We have no worries with PHP-Nuke Titanium and the long list of reasons to stop using or not use tables at all does not pertain to us. We do not have a single event ever that involves anything on the list of reasons tables are bad for design layouts.

With that being said, PHP-Nuke Titanium has the ability to serve any type of system based on each device. It is widely known that if you view it on a PC it is referred to as a desktop application, and that is who we originally catered to. PHP-Nuke Titanium is for folks that want something fancy!

PHP-Nuke Titanium may very well be the last of the Mohicans when it comes to having a Gamer site or just a macked-out personal site that is packed full of BLING!

We got you and we will keep making PHP-Nuke Titanium better...

Sincerely,
Ernest Allen Buffington

NukeScripts™ Network Projects Module Update

Posted by NukeSheriff Thu Sep 29, 2022 9:53 pm

Module Name: Network Projects
Authors: Bob Marion, Ernest Allen Buffington
Version: v4.0.3
License: GNU General Public License version 2
Core: PHP-Nuke Titanium 4.x.x
Description: Network Projects Tracking System

It was time to finish this wonderful module that took so much time to create. Now that it has a warm home where it will get great use and appreciation. I am currently working on updating it with TheGhost aka Ernest Buffington. Ernest has updated a lot of the features under my tutelage and is a very creative person. So far the addons have made the Projects Tracking System easier to use and he has cosmetically improved the entire layout.

I originally created the NSN Projects Module in 2005 and many things have changed since then. Ernest came up with the idea of making a Projects Tracking System that is hosted on a remote database that is specific to our network and projects.

We expect to have it done in the next few weeks and are working diligently to get it done.

You can see the updates as we work in real-time by clicking the Networks Projeck Link.

  Added Features:

  • Added Buttons instead of links
  • Added 11 Project Types
  • Fixed Project Links lower case change on Add Project and Edit Project
  • Added Status Colors
  • Added New Icons
  • Fixed Table Layouts
  • Removed Bulky Tables and Menus

ToDo

  • Update Task Map
  • Update Report Map
  • Update Request Map

Sincerely,
Bob Marion

cPanel Upgrade

Posted by TheGhost Tue Sep 27, 2022 1:22 am

We just upgraded cPanel again from v96.0.7 to v106.7

This message is for the PHP-Nuke Titanium admins that have cPanel access. Again we did not want you logging in a freaking out because of all the changes that took place today. If you are an admin you probably have compiler access already but if you do not and would like to have compiler access enabled on your personal 86it portal just use the chat plugin by clicking on the blue circle in the bottom left-hand corner. You can request compiler access anytime you like. Compilers are accessible 24/7 now so you will no ;longer have just 24 hours from the time of request before your compiler goes back offline. Your compiler will stay online forever!

Why did we name the CMS PHP-Nuke Titanium?

Posted by TheGhost Thu Sep 01, 2022 9:34 pm

Where did the name PHP-Nuke Titanium come from?

It involves a nuclear waste storage concept...

Because of its corrosion resistance, containers made of titanium have been studied for the long-term storage of nuclear waste. Containers lasting more than 100,000 years are thought possible with manufacturing conditions that minimize material defects. A titanium "drip shield" could also be installed over containers of other types to enhance their longevity.

The original PHP-Nuke has been around for 30+ years and we have preserved it in Titanium, PHP-Nuke Titanium to be exact...

Because titanium alloys have the high tensile strength to density ratio, high corrosion resistance, fatigue resistance, high crack resistance, and the ability to withstand moderately high temperatures without creeping, they are used in aircraft, armor plating, naval ships, spacecraft, and missiles.

Titanium was discovered in 1791 by the clergyman and amateur geologist William Gregor as an inclusion of a mineral in Cornwall, Great Britain. Gregor recognized the presence of a new element in ilmenite when he found black sand by a stream and noticed the sand was attracted by a magnet. Analyzing the sand, he determined the presence of two metal oxides: iron oxide (explaining the attraction to the magnet) and 45.25% of a white metallic oxide he could not identify. Realizing that the unidentified oxide contained a metal that did not match any known element, Gregor reported his findings to the Royal Geological Society of Cornwall and in the German science journal Crell's Annalen.

Around the same time, Franz-Joseph Müller von Reichenstein produced a similar substance, but could not identify it. The oxide was independently rediscovered in 1795 by Prussian chemist Martin Heinrich Klaproth in rutile from Boinik (the German name of Bajmócska), a village in Hungary (now Bojničky in Slovakia). Klaproth found that it contained a new element and named it for the Titans of Greek mythology. After hearing about Gregor's earlier discovery, he obtained a sample of manaccanite and confirmed it to be titanium.

All of this is how we related the idea to name our Fork of PHP-Nuke, PHP-Nuke Titanium and the story relates...

Sincerely,
Ernest Allen Buffington

New Members List Module

Posted by TheGhost Tue May 18, 2021 4:29 pm

Module Name: Members List
Author: Ernest Allen Buffington
Contributor: Lonestar (http://lonestar-modules.com)
Version: v4.0.0
License: GNU General Public License version 2
Core: PHP-Nuke Titanium v.3.0.1b <> 4.x.x
Description: Website Member List - Search Website Member List.

This module appeared to be incomplete and broken. The status of the users in the user list did not reflect if the user was currently online or offline. The user's website icon was missing, the user's Facebook icon was missing and the gender icon was missing as well. The members' list was written with a task and a goal to begin with and that was to automate finding and sending a user message or visiting a user's website. We did not add the user's email back to the search criteria of the member list as it is not needed. Send them a private message instead and the web portal will send them an email telling them they have a new message waiting for them.

Added Features:

  • The only users visible in the members list are members that are not in Ghost Mode
  • Search Engines and website members have no way of knowing just how many website members really exist (Ghost Mode allows visitors to be 100% invisible)
  • Added global Ghost Mode ability for all users
  • Added the ability for admins to see who is in Ghost Mode
  • Added Ghost Mode - You are now invisible when you hide your online status. It will appear as if you do not exist!
  • Added A Profile Pic
  • Added Private Message Icon
  • Added a Website Icon that only shows up if the member has a website listed on their profile
  • Added a Facebook icon that only shows up if the user has their Facebook account listed on their profile.
  • Added New Gender Icons
  • Fixed users online status in the members list as it was not working
  • Added animated ONLINE image
  • Fixed users offline status in the members list as it was not working
  • Added animated OFFLINE image
  • If the person has marked theirself hidden on their profile, only admins can see them in the member list
  • If a person leaves the Location field blank it defaults to The Interwebs

Ernest Allen Buffington

  • Nobody can read your VIrtual Cemetery but you when you're logged in. (invisible to the public)

If you're 50 or older this will be a handy little tool. If you're like me almost everyone you ever loved or cared about is dead. This makes it easier to keep track of all the friends and loved ones you have that die. I have lost so many I can't recall them all in one sitting.

If you're a serial killer you can keep track of all the people you kill as well.

Enjoy
